Erynn
The visual half of The Matteras, Erynn is an art director/creative director. she attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where she graduated with a BFA in Painting and Printmaking and the VCU Brandcenter where she received her Master’s in creative advertising. She’s worked for over a decade at top tier advertising agencies in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Durham, NC. Art and art direction are her bread and butter, but she also uses AI image generation tools, writes scripts and other copy, and is a strategy and conceptual expert in all areas of advertising.

David
After a false start 6-year career as a political operative and lobbyist, David followed Erynn into the world of advertising. He studied copywriting at Chicago Portfolio School and has worked for 10 years at agencies and as a freelance copywriter in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Portland, Durham and more. While he is the words and writing guy, David also edits film, creates AI music, makes animations, mixes sound, manages projects and workflows, and helps develop brand strategies and positionings.
